Small group learning, with face-to-face instruction

Local learning opoortunities are available throughout the country

R ecognizing that many students learn through participating in small group, face‐to‐face instruction, Berkshire offers courses at Local Learning Centers. This provides a classroom experience at various church, campground and/or conference center locations throughout the country. Courses at these locations are taught by a Berkshire adjunct faculty member and enroll 10 or more students for each course.

In addition to courses that can be taken as part of one of the certificate programs, seminars and workshops are also delivered via our Local Learning Centers.

Each course consists of forty‐five (45) hours of classroom instruction as well as assignments, exams, and reading. Whereas the number of hours for a workshop or seminar vary based on that particular offering.

How can you enroll in a course at a Local Learning Center?

There are several different ways to learn about courses being taught in your area.

> One is to talk with your pastor about having a course taught at your church or a location nearby. Your pastor can then work with Berkshire Christian College’s Distance Education and Learning program to offer a course (or workshop) at your location.

> There may be a course that is already scheduled to occur in your area; therefore contact the college to find out if there is a course, workshop, or seminar scheduled in your geographical area.
